Hello,
We are in the process of migrating from Bitbucket Server 7.7.0 to Bitbucket Cloud and have an integration with Bamboo Server 7.2.1. The integration currently has over 2000+ Linked Repositories in Bamboo, and we are looking for the most efficient way to update these links after the migration to Bitbucket Cloud.
We would like to know if there is an efficient way to update the linked repositories in Bamboo either through database or Bamboo REST API.
During pre-migration testing, we tried to add a Bitbucket Cloud repository to Bamboo but encountered the error "We couldn’t connect to the repository. The details you provided were invalid." Despite multiple attempts, we could not save the repository. However, as a workaround, we were able to add it as a Git repository and successfully save it.
Could this be a configuration issue, or is there a known incompatibility between Bamboo 7.2.1 and Bitbucket Cloud that causes this error?
Thanks.
Hello kadambinitendulkar,
Welcome to Atlassian community.
1. Bitbucket Server and Bitbucket Cloud are two different kinds of Repository types in Bamboo and currently there is no way you can update them in Bulk. You'll have to add each migrated Bitbucket cloud Repository one by one. This can't be done in bulk from DB or Rest API
2. I am not sure on the error which you are getting. Probably can you confirm if you used APP password instead of your account password to connect.
Bamboo 7.2.1 has been end of life since last 4 years and there has been multiple changes on the way Bamboo connects to Bitbucket cloud and multiple bugs fixed. I think the best way would be to first Upgrade Bamboo and then plan to connect to Bitbucket cloud repo's
