Error when sending mail notifications

Hi,

I am getting the error message:

com.sun.mail.util.MailConnectException: Couldn't connect to host, port: smtp.office365.com, 587; timeout 20000; nested exception is: java.net.SocketTimeoutException: connect timed out

When Bamboo is trying to send notifications.

Any help?

Hi Edward,

The message hints us at the connectivity issue. You could check the following to troubleshoot:

• Check if the port 587 is correct and open.
• Test the connectivity using the telnet command:

  telnet smtp.office365.com 587
