How to run a stage or job only for one branch?

We have regression and performance tests that we only need to run against our master branch (we're using feature branching on the project).  How can I add a condition to only run those stages or jobs (either will work) when the master branch has been triggered for build/test?

It's not possible. I suggest creating separate plan without branches for your regression/performance tests.
