Is it possible to "retrofit" an AWS region that is available in Bamboo 6.2 in Bamboo 5.13.2

In elastic Bamboo,  the 5.13.2 version is missing some of the Amazon AWS regions that are available in version 6.x.

 Is an upgrade the only option to getting the missing regions?
