Plan Sub Menu Screen Look and Feel Issues

I created a new Plan Sub Menu using a ftl file.
I inserted sections from Latest Status Holder through Plan Navigation in the corresponding ftl file.
But there are two problems.
Take a look at the snapshot below.
Issue 1: The overall Plan Sub Menu screen moves a little bottom right compared with other screens.
Issue 2: The background color cannot be changed.
Are there any solutions?
