Plan branch for the linked repo

Atlassian Team members are employees working across the company in a wide variety of roles.
I would like to use a plan branch and i read here the following: "Bamboo creates a plan branch for each new branch detected in the primary source repository."
What is the primary source repository? Is that a default repository for the current plan?
Our project is a sub-project/sub-directory of much larger GIT repository, it's called "code_base" on the screenshot below.
And when i choose the option "Create plan branch when new branch in repository is created", my plan creates a plan branch even if changes in that branch does not relate to the code_base folder.
