Ant task fails to run

Using CentOS 6.5 and Bamboo 5.6.1 and Apache Ant version 1.7.1

I am having an issue getting ANT taks to run. I am getting the following error when trying to run an ant task

Error: Could not find or load main class org.apache.tools.ant.launch.Launcher

However, if I take the call from the log and run it on the server the task runs just fine. I am not that versed in CentOS so I am not sure where to look. I have a feeling that it has something to do with the extra environment variables that Bamboo is adding but I am unsure.
