Bamboo Remote Agent install *without* requiring approval

I'm trying to use Chef to automate the install of a Bamboo Remote Agent.

We're hitting a wall in that the Agent install requires manual approval on a web page.

Is there any way to do the install where the approval is either implicit, or not required?

Thanks,

Aaron Kulbe

I'm not aware of an installation option with implicit approval, but in case your operational environment is sufficiently controlled to skip this security barrier, you can simply disable agent authentication entirely:

  1. Click the  icon in the Bamboo header and choose Agents.
  2. Click the Disable remote agent authentication link to the right of the Remote Agents section heading.

Alternatively, you may be able to retain the approval requirement, but automate the approval via the REST API's /agent/authentication/{agentUuid} resource (please note that I have never actually tested this myself).

Okay. I got this part figured out, by passing the 'install' argument. Now I'm wondering if I can still use automation to associate this remote agent with the Bamboo Server. Is there a way to do that?
