Build plan visibility

This question is in reference to Atlassian Documentation: Bamboo permissions

Can users with view permissions see plan variables?  We'd like users to see the build results, but not view sensitive information in the build plan.

Thank you for your inquire.

Yes, users with VIEW permission can see variables in:

• Summary tab, under Custom variables (if variable(s) was overwritten)
• Metadata tab (Plan and Global variables)

I guess we will simply have to remove all permissions in order to use plan variables for passing credentials into build tasks.  I was hoping that wouldn't be the case.  Oh well.  Thanks anyways!
