Can Tasks that implement TaskType be used by Deploymenet projects?

Can TaskType modules be used as a Task in a deployment project?  I was using a custom task written in Java that implemented TaskType in a Build.  When I try to use it in a Deployment project I cannot see the Task when I go to select it.

The category tag was enabled and set to deployment. <category name="deployment"/>

I saw that it was valid to have more than one category tag  so I added category tags for 'test' and 'builder' and reinstalled the plugin but saw no difference.  I am using 5.7.2 version of Bamboo and 3.7.2 version of atlassian-plugin-sdk.

You can. Is category "deployment" added in the taskType module definition?
