Hi,
I have the application link between Stash and Bamboo working, but when I try to add a Stash Repository I always get the following error:
Stash server has disabled connections over SSH. You need to enable them in Stash configuration.
We used to have SSH enabled on our Stash server, but we disabled it because of performance issues. So now we are trying to setup the connection between Bamboo and Stash over https (both behind reverse proxies). Is it a prerequisite that Stash has SSH enabled to allow adding a Stash Repository in Bamboo? I don't see it mentioned in the documentation: https://confluence.atlassian.com/bamboo/using-bamboo/integrating-bamboo-with-atlassian-applications/integrating-bamboo-with-stash#IntegratingBamboowithStash-Configuration
Or maybe this is a caching issue as we were using SSH before? I've tried removing and adding the application link, but to no success.
Thanks,
Sander
Unfortunately Bamboo does not yet support HTTP(S) authentication with Stash repositories - you can vote/watch/comment on the resp. issue to raise awareness for this scenario:
Thanks. I still think this should be more explicit on the documentation page. Now it seems that you only have to add the Application Link to be able to add a Stash repository. But in fact you need to add the Application Link AND enable SSH on Stash.

@Sander Verschuren - agreed: I have referenced your suggestion on BAM-15464, hopefully Atlassian will add a resp. note to the documentation to spare other users the trouble until HTTP(S) authentication is available.

Hello @Steffen Opel [Utoolity] and @Sander Verschuren . I raised https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/STASH-7778 and our tech writer should look into this issue soon. Thanks for raising and discussing this. Best, Thiago Atlassian DevTools Support
