On Build Result screen in Commits tab Bamboo shows list of commits between this and previous build. If you're running build manually and it uses the same repository revision as the previous one (no commits to repository after last build) then the commits tab will be empty.

The question is not really clear. But I am assuming, you are trying to get the latest commits when you are running the plan manually.

For this case you can select the force clean checkout option in your source code checkout task. This automatically clears your working directory and gets you gets the latest commits which are pushed to repo

If you are trying to get commits which are not pushed: simple answer is you CANT. The bamboo task usually only gets the updated code base and not the commits from anyone's local.
