Local Bamboo isntallation and OnDemand Jira setup

Hello,

if I host a local Bamboo installation, is it still possible to connect this with an OnDemand Jira setup or do they both have to be OnDemand?

Based on the Restricted Functions in Atlassian OnDemand, "Connecting local Bamboo installations" with JIRA OnDemand is a "NO". Kindly have a look.
