TFS Repository TF400889: The following path contains more than the allowed 259 characters

Hi

W're evaluating Bamboo CI Server with TFS Repository (https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.stellarity.bamboo.tfs-repository-plugin#support) Add-on

Now we get this error while getting source:
Error occurred while running Task 'Checkout Default Repository(1)' of type com.atlassian.bamboo.plugins.vcs:task.vcs.checkout.
(java.lang.RuntimeException : com.atlassian.bamboo.repository.RepositoryException: com.microsoft.tfs.core.exceptions.TECoreException: TF400889: The following path contains more than the allowed 259 characters: ******** . Specify a shorter path.)

Is there a possability to change max path length?

Hi Stefano,

This is a TFS API internal limitation. Also other tools may have troubles with handling such long paths.

Try to change Bamboo's working directory to a shorter one to reduce the total path length.
