configuring a variables task file path

https://confluence.atlassian.com/bamboo/configuring-a-variables-task-687213475.html

In the configuration I've specified an absolute path

/home/atlassian/prod/bamboo/bamboo_map.properties

I get an error

03-Jan-2018 17:09:44Could not read variable file at '/mnt/ssd1/home/atlassian/prod/bamboo/home/xml-data/build-dir/196609/ABF-ABFT-JOB1/home/atlassian/prod/bamboo/bamboo_map.properties' as it does not exist.

So it uses a relative path to the build directory.

That doesn't make any sense as the directory doesn't exist before I run the test.

How do I use this feature then?

Hello @Prem Chudzinski [extensi],

Thank you for your update.

I have filed a bug (https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/BAM-19600) so information can be provided in Bamboo Inject Variables task and Bamboo's documentation (https://confluence.atlassian.com/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=687213475) stating that uses Relative Path to the Build Working Directory.

How do I use this feature then?

By having the properties files placed in the Build Working Directory from any other resource available to Bamboo (e.g Source Code Checkout, Artifact Download, SCP ...)

Please, feel free to add any comments to the link above as well as commenting on the issue link so our development team review the information provided, adding further information to it.

Kind regards,

Rafael
