is there a way to configure a application link via configuration file

We have setup a separate sandboxes for bamboo and Bitbucket which is like a copy of production but the problem we had is it got the same applink copied as that of prod which we don't want, if I delete the application link on sandbox manually it makes a deletion on production too, this is really weird. Is there a way to configuration app link via configuration file?? or what is the best way to setup a sandboxes that has all plan and setup similar to prod except that application link setup, just don't want application link setup copied.

No way that i know in configuration files. Anyhow we have done it using SQL with a script which runs on the test system and replaces the live url with test urls.

you mean to say deleting the app link information from database? It would be nice and helpful if you provide a select query?
