I think I have deleted all the ssh keys for my user (gear icon -> personal bitbucket settings -> ssh keys says no keys are configured), but I am still able to auth to bitbucket.org.
Eg
ssh -v git@bitbucket.org
shows
debug1: Offering public key:
and
debug1: Server accepts key:
lines indicated key auth succeeded. I can also push to one of my repos.
Also when I try to add one of my ssh keys back in, I get the error "Someone has already added that SSH key." which makes it sound like it hasn't actually been deleted.
Also, is it possible for me to open a private ticket for security concerns? The page https://support.atlassian.com/contact/ just points me here and doesn't let me open a private ticket.
Problem seems to be resolved now, after about ~36 hours of weirdness. I can re-add a few of my keys now and auth is correctly failing for some that were removed (but I did not check exhaustively).
