Are static websites available for teams?

This documents the ability for users, but is it available for teams? I did create a repo with the same name as the name as the team.

Yep! For example, http://atlassian.bitbucket.org/ comes from https://bitbucket.org/atlassian/atlassian.bitbucket.org

You'll need to name the repository exactly teamname.bitbucket.org
