Authentication failed in SourceTree while connecting to Bitbucket

Prasanna Thirumal June 22, 2017

Hello,

I am having a trouble logging into Bitbucket server from SourceTree. I get Authentication Failed error but I have cross checked the user name and password and all seems to be correct. Also, when i login to Bitbucket in the browser using the same credentials it works. I have tried uninstalling and installing the SourceTree and in different system as well but no luck so far. Also, I have changed HTTPS and SSH but both doesnt seem to work. Please see below error. Any help highly appreciated.SourceTree_Error.png

Thanks,

Prasanna

Hi

I think it is todo with the URL you are using. I woudl expect to enter something like  https://mybitbucketserver/ as SourceTree will then append the REST api relative URLs to that.

Hello Michael,

Thanks for your response.

I have been using the same URL since beginning and it was working before and nothing has been changed lately. And we are using like https://mybitbucketserver/ as mentioned by you. Please let me know if you need any info.

Thanks,

Prasanna
