What is the benefit or difference between having Bitbucket using Jira as user database? is this good or bad? any suggestion? which is best practice for small teams (10 users), some users will have access to Jira but some of them will not have access to bitbucket and viceversa.

Hello,

If you use Jira as user database, then you do not need to add the same users in Jira and Bitbucket. You can manage all users in Jira. It works just fine. You can use it.

Let’s say, if I add user A and user B, how can I specify user A only have access to Jira and User B only to Bitbucket, and user C will have access to both systems?

how is license handled?

if I create 10 users for jira will I be able to create 10 more users for bitbucket? So let’s say I can have 20 users with different access? Or only 10 with access to both apps?

If you add a user to Jira, it does not mean that the user has access to Jira. The user will have access to Jira if the user is included in certain groups. Just do not include the user to the groups.
