Hi,
We are using Bitbucket server 7.13.
My question is, does pull request have the option to add group to reviewer field?
Thanks in advance,
Galit
Hello Galit, welcome to the community.
Short answer to your question: Yes you can! (see below)
Out of the box Bitbucket server lets you create reviewer groups at repository level that you can use when you create a pull request. Note that reviewer groups are NOT AD groups that exist instance wide.
While repository reviewer groups are big step up from having no reviewer groups at all, you may still end up maintaining group memberships on both global (AD-based) level and repository level.
Nobody likes busy-work so we've made an app (Workzone) that lets you configure pull request reviewers using AD groups and assign required approval quotas for each group. Any change to AD groups are instantly reflected in your pull request reviewer configuration!
Hope that helps!
Best, Ulrich

Hi,
Thank you for the information
I'm trying to add a group to reviewer field in pull request but it doesn't find any (although we defined groups in that repository) . Just apply for users.
Should i set another configuration?
Thanks,
Galit
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
You may find that when you type the group name it may appear in the select dropdown - and when you select the group by clicking on it the members are added as individual reviewers
You need to make sure that group members have sufficient permission for the repo, minimum is READ permission.

Hi Ulrich,
when trying to add the group (same as your example) it says "no matching users found", although the group has write permission for this repository.
Should i define the entire users in this group as a users too?
Thanks,
Galit

Correct, the repository group (not the AD group) needs to have members which are regular users with repo read permission. Then after typing the group in the reviewers field the members of the repo group should be inserted. In the above case the 'repo-dev-group' has the following members
As I already mentioned if you want to save yourself the headache of maintaining repo groups and their members, use the Workzone app to add AD groups (or repo groups) automatically in the background as soon as the PR is created. This way you make sure the right reviewers are added instantly and only configure it once.

Oh yes - sorry. Probably a DC only feature :( so it won't be available in Bitbucket server.
Let me know if you have any questions, perhaps Workzone or another app can enable you to use reviewer groups.
