Bitbucket Self-hosted Runner "failed to adjust OOM score for shim"

Hello we currently run self-hosted runners on Kubernetes per the tutorial/guide on runners-autoscaler.

When I attempt to run a pipeline step with the "runs-on" configured it immediately fails with this system error

Status 500: {"message":"io.containerd.runc.v2: failed to adjust OOM score for shim: set shim OOM score: write /proc/568/oom_score_adj: invalid argument\n: exit status 1: unknown"}

Can we please get some assistance?
