Bitbucket workspace is read-only with 402 error, but there is only 1 user in user directory

Koczka Bence October 16, 2025

Hi Atlassian team,

I created a Bitbucket workspace called ‘rendszerinformatika’ yesterday. I am the only user listed in the user directory, but the workspace is in read-only mode and I’m getting 402 errors saying the user limit has been exceeded. I have double-checked—there is only one user (myself) in the workspace.

I am on the Free plan and cannot submit a support ticket. This is blocking my work and extremely frustrating. Please help reset my workspace to normal free single-user status or advise how to resolve this error.

Thank you.

Did not get proper answer in time, changing to different provider.
