Can I recover a deleted repository

John Lloyd Olsen January 28, 2025

This evening I managed to delete a repository I cannot recover as far as I know. Could Atlassian help me? I do not personally have copies and my only team member has a copy only on a computer which is in another country. The repository was named <redacted> (I think) so its URL was <redacted>. It is an Ionic Front End to an existing backend I safely have, backed up.

Hi John,

I was able to restore this repository for you. You should be able to see it in the list of the workspace's repositories. Please note that the timestamp of the deletion was added to the repository name. You can easily change this if you do the following:

  1. Go to this URL to view the workspace's repositories

    https://bitbucket.org/<workspace-id>/workspace/repositories/

where <workspace-id> replace with the ID of the workspace where this repo belongs.

  2. Locate the repo on this page and select it to open it.

  3. Select Repository settings from the left sidebar.

  4. Select Repository details from the new left sidebar.

  5. On the new page, you can change the field titled Repository name and then select Save changes at the bottom of the page.

Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions!

Just a heads up, I removed the URL from your post for privacy reasons.

Kind regards,
Theodora
