Can't clone repository

Franz Mörike December 12, 2019

Hey, I request my admin to delete my committed changes and send me a new repository so i can start from scratch again. But when trying to clone my repository vie SourceTree i always get the error:

Command: git -c diff.mnemonicprefix=false -c core.quotepath=false --no-optional-locks ls-remote https://ge38was@bitbucket.ase.in.tum.de/scm/PGDP1920W08H02/pgdp1920w08h02-ge38was.git
Output:
Error: fatal: Authentication failed for 'https://ge38was@bitbucket.ase.in.tum.de/scm/PGDP1920W08H02/pgdp1920w08h02-ge38was.git/'

Would be very thankful for any help.

Hello @Franz Mörike,

I changed the tags for your question to refer to Bitbucket Server since your URL points to Bitbucket Server instance, not Bitbucket Cloud.

As for the error you see, here's a page which might help. The most likely reason is #2 I think. Can you try navigating to https://bitbucket.ase.in.tum.de/ and logging in? If you see the CAPTCHA, my assumption was correct.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,
Daniil
