I want to show someone my source code, but I want to make sure that they don't make a copy of it, and take my intellectual property from BitBucket. Is there a way to give someone access to my code but not give them the option to download my codes or copy my codes?
If not is there a way to track this activity, so if someone does make a copy it will alert me? So at least I know that my code has been downloaded.
Thank you!
Hi Anthony, welcome to the Community!
That's practically impossible. Even if you prevent them from cloning your repo, they could still take a picture of it or even copy it manually. Unless you just show it to him on your computer and make sure he doesn't have a camera or some other device with him, if his intention is to steal it, he'll be able to find a way. This is not only applicable for code, but to many other things in life.
Hope that helps,
Ana
