I have a bitbucket cloud repo and Sourcetree will not authenticate.  I have installed a fresh copy of Sourcetree and at first launch it wants to connect to the repo.  I can login fine at bitbucket.org but when trying to log into the account via sourcetree it fails.

I am beyond frustrated and will switch to another provider if I cannot get this fixed quickly.

Hi Jeff and welcome to the community.

Looking at your screenshot, I see that you use a Bitbucket Cloud URL, but the SourceTree screen has the header Login to Bitbucket Server. Bitbucket Server is the self-hosted product that is installed on users' infrastructure. https://bitbucket.org/ is the Cloud product that is hosted on Atlassian's infrastructure.

If you select the button Back, I believe you'll see a screen where you can select Bitbucket Cloud instead of Bitbucket Server.

Just a heads up, I removed the screenshot from your post for privacy reasons, as it was showing the URL of your Bitbucket Cloud workspace and your username.

Kind regards,
Theodora
