Confluence Data Center Database Failover

Rob Roach April 17, 2019

Working on the final stages of our migration to Confluence Data Center.

We're using Windows Server 2016 as the application servers, and a MSSQL 2016 cluster as the database.

One thing we've noted during testing is... when the db cluster fails over to another node, the application servers obviously lose database connectivity.  However, the Windows Confluence service keeps running, and they never recover without the service being restarted.

Is there a way to manage some kind of keep alive/poll to see if the database connectivity has resolved and the nodes can function as expected?

Thanks!
