Get error Invalid OAuth client credentials on Runner Autoscaler for workspace

Adilla Rhiskani S April 10, 2025

Hi team,

I'm trying setup bitbucket auto scaler but getting error Invalid OAuth client credentials on the pod. I'm sure correctly setting for BITBUCKET_OAUTH_CLIENT_ID and

BITBUCKET_OAUTH_CLIENT_SECRET using base64. How to verify this oauth_client and oauth_client_secret can work properly?

Hi Adilla and welcome to the community!

We have the following knowledge base article about the 'Invalid OAuth client credentials' with the autoscaler:

This article mentions possible causes for the error and things you can check, which are permissions, ensuring the client id and secret you use are correct and base64 encoded, and ensuring that the Kubernetes secret is created in the correct namespace where the runner is being deployed.

Can you please check the article and let me know if the issue is resolved then or if you're still experiencing issues?

Kind regards,
Theodora
