How can I add a workspace I create?

Leo White March 5, 2025

See the picture, the URL is created by me, and I can view actually, but I can't add it to my account.

It's so weird.

"Create a free workspace" with the error

This workspace ID is taken. Try another ID.

Hi Leo,

This page can be used to create a new Bitbucket workspace and not to add an existing workspace to an account.

The ID of the workspace needs to be unique across our userbase. The workspace ID that you entered is already in use by another Bitbucket account with a different email address from yours.

You will need to enter a different ID to create a new workspace. Once you enter an ID that is not taken by another user, you should be able to proceed.

If the Bitbucket account (with a different email address) that administers the existing workspace is yours, you'll need to log in to that account to access that workspace.

Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions.

Just a heads up, I removed the screenshot from your post for privacy reasons, as it was displaying the workspace ID.

Kind regards,
Theodora
