Hello,
AlmWorks JiraClient has been made open source since May 2020.
I've tried to push a commit to the bitbucket repository (https://bitbucket.org/almworks/jiraclient.git), but I'm not allowed to do it (403 error).
What do I have to do to be allowed to modify the source code ?
Thanks a lot,
Hi @Jean-Pierre DELPRAT and welcome to the community!
You need to be granted at least write access to a repository, in order to be able to push to it.
Public repos can be cloned by anyone, but it is not possible for someone to push unless they have at least write access.
Since the repo is public, you should be able to fork it in your own workspace, add your code in your fork, and then create a Pull request from your fork to the main repo. Someone that has appropriate permissions in https://bitbucket.org/almworks/jiraclient should merge your PR though, in order for your code to get merged to this repo.
I would suggest contacting the company (ALM Works) and ask if they accept contributions to this repo, and if they would review and consider merging your PR, as I don't know whether this is something they would do or not.
Please feel free to let me know if you have any questions.
Kind regards,
Theodora
Thanks very much for your answer. This is exactly what I needed.
