BitBucket deployment correlates with JIRA card. So, when deploy using pipeline, the card status reflects the step failure/successful result. On the other hand, I need a way to skip deployment altogether, because some commits' requirement (e.g. incomplete commits).
By exiting with `exit -1`, this will stop the pipeline entirely. By exiting with `exit 0` it marked the deployment as successful. How to skip this deployment and take a middle road to still continue the pipeline AND marked the deployment step as skip?
Hi @Abdillah,
I'm afraid that this is not possible at the moment. A pipeline step needs to be completed successfully for the next steps to be executed.
We have a feature request for what you are asking:
You can see here the latest update by one of Bitbcuket's Product Managers regarding this feature:
You can add your vote to this feature request to express your interest and you can also add yourself as a watcher if you'd like to be notified via email on updates.
In the meantime, one thing you could do is create a separate custom pipeline for each deployment environment and execute the one(s) you want manually:
Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions.
Kind regards,
Theodora
