Hi Derya,

The reason why you cannot delete your account is because your account's email address is a billing and technical contact of a Bitbucket Cloud workspace. This workspace is on the Free plan, so you will not get charged unless you upgrade its billing plan.

Can you please clarify what you mean by that:

now It says its not gonna be free by 28th of July

Where did you find this information?

If you no longer need this workspace, you can delete it. It can take up to 30 days for the workspace to get fully deleted, and after 30 days pass you should be able to delete your Bitbucket and Atlassian account.

Please note that the workspace has one repository. If you delete the workspace, the repository will be deleted as well and this is not a reversible action. If you have data you want to keep in that repo, you can clone the repo with the --mirror flag to get a full copy on your computer.

You can find the workspace if you open this page (after logging in to https://bitbucket.org/):

You can check the workspace's repo if you:

  1. Select the workspace's name from the page above.
  2. Select Repositories from the menubar at the top.
  3. Then, select the repo name to open it.

If you would still like to proceed with the deletion of the workspace:

  1. Open this page again https://bitbucket.org/account/workspaces/.
  2. Select the link Manage in the same line as the workspace you want to delete.
  3. On the new page that opens, scroll down and select the link Delete workspace.

Like I said above, 30 days after you initiate the deletion of the workspace, the workspace will be fully deleted and you will then be able to delete your Bitbucket and Atlassian account.

Just a heads up, I removed the second screenshot from your post for privacy reasons, as it was displaying your workspace's name and ID.

Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions!

Kind regards,
Theodora
