Looking for a tool that works with the Atlassian tool-set that manages binaries

We are moving to the Atlassian tool set and are in need of some recommendations of tools that work well with the Jira/Bamboo/Bitbucket setup.

Since we are using GIT now we need something that can manage all our released/compiled files as well as some of the large dependencies that our installers need.

Thanks in advance!

Hi, welcome to the Community!

Since you said you're using Git, l think you'd benefit from using Git LFS (Large File Storage) (more info here and here). Is that what you were referring to? Or were you looking for some kind of service like Dropbox where you could simply upload your large files?

Let us know!

Hi Ana!

I was told its not a good thing to keep binaries in GIT, is that true?

We have many applications and the system that we are migrating from allows us to put files/releases/builds up to 1.6gb or larger into it. I think having to clone a project with that size of a file would be kind of counter productive :)

I can see the LFS working for the smaller applications. I am thinking  we keep all the source in GIT/BitBucket and have another tool to manage the build output/dependencies or shelved releases?

I see that Artifactory keeps popping up. Does this tool that integrate well with Atlassian or are there any other tools that can help with our build's output and release management?
