Lost access to verification app and now can't log in to Bitbucket to create PR

Hello, thank you for your help.


I have enabled two-step verification for Bitbucket but not for Atlassian, since I don't have access to the verification app to get the code now I can't log in to Bitbucket to create PR.

I have tried "Forgot code" and "Send recovery email" and waited 24 hours and received the one-time log in link, but the link doesn't do as it says to direct me to the two-step verification settings page(I don't know whether it's for Atlassian or for Bitbucket).

What should I do?

Hi @Ace Young

Welcome to the community.

You should receive a second 2FA recovery email that will allow you to disable your Bitbucket Cloud account's 2FA.

I checked our internal logs and I can see that it has been already sent.

Could you please check your email's inbox?

Hi @Mark C Thank you for replying.

I have received the One-time login email that has a "Log in to my account" button in it but I have not received a second 2FA recovery email and I have checked the Spam folder.

Could you please tell me what to do next or Could you please send the email that allow me to disable the 2FA again? I do check the Spam folder and I didn't receive the email.

Hello @Mark C thank you for replying

the 2FA recovery email that you are referring to is the same as the email that has a "Log in to my account" button in it?

because I have received the email that has a "Log in to my account" button in it and i I click the button and it doesn't direct me to the disable 2FA page.

What I need is to disable the 2FA for the Bitbucket account, I have never enable the 2FA for the Atlassian account.
