Menu items missing

Hi,

I have On prem Bitbucket vs 5.9.0 installed on windows 2012 and IE ver 11.0.

I am able to login to the application but do not see regular menu items.

Instead see Inbox, Alerts menu items - textx instead of icons.

THis is causing a lot of problems. Appreciate if you can take a look & let me know what could be the issues.

Hello Chetan,

We have attempted to re-create your issues but have been unsuccessful.

A few things to try:

  • Restart the BitBucket service OR server (If you have not done this).
  • Did this recently become an issue? If so, Are all users having this issue or just a select few? 
    • If a select few users are having the issue, check to see if any updates were applied. Attempt to roll back any updates that have applied to see if that resolves the issue on endpoints.
  • Ensure nothing else has changed:
    • Check any updates applied to the BitBucket Windows server itself. 
    • If using a certificate, ensure the entire certificate chain is valid.
    • Ensure server networking has not changed or moved to not trusted.
    • Ensure the Windows firewall is configured properly.

With that said, we would like to gather some additional information:

  • Please post a screen shot of the UI you are seeing.
  • Can you please relay any errors from the Log Analyzer, instructions for the Log Analyzer are here: Troubleshooting and Support Tools
  • Are you using a Proxy of any kind with BitBucket?

Additional options outside of troubleshooting would be:

  • Upgrade to a minor version of BitBucket. BitBucket 5.9.2 is available.
    • Sometimes a bad upgrade or damaged application folder can cause broken images, reinstalls or upgrades can sometimes resolve this (Unless it is an underlying Proxy issue).
  • Upgrade to BitBucket 5.15.
