If the option is set up, when a change happens to the origin branch, then the approvals should be reset.
That is not happening right now. Is this a known issue?

Approvals are reset when the source branch of a pull request is updated – is this what you referred to as origin branch? If you meant this, and approvals didn't reset, this sounds like a bug.
Can you please open a support case with us and specify the repository in question and when did you face the issue? We'll take a look at the repository and figure out what happened.
