Bitbucket branch length

Is there a way to set the Bitbucket branch length when creating a branch from JIRA?

Sometimes it seems to cut off the branch at a random point.

Can this be set or controlled in any way?

Reason is that my Bamboo build plans depend on the branch name, via a regex, on the creating build plans.

I am also looking the same, any length restriction can enforce using pre-receive hooks in Bitbucket?
