Hello Bitbucket Team,
Hope you doing well.
We have received below mail recently from atlassian.com regarding Bitbucket is officially ending support of the Services feature on 31 December 2021
We noticed you are an admin for a Bitbucket Cloud repository that is still utilizing our original Services feature. We had previously announced that we will end support for this feature and recommended migrating repositories to Bitbucket webhooks.
Bitbucket is officially ending support of the Services feature on 31 December 2021. In order to prevent any unforeseen issues we recommend migrating at once. If you have any questions or issues migrating to Bitbucket webhooks, please reach out to Bitbucket support.
Thanks,
The Bitbucket Team
Please help me to understand the context.
Thanks
Praveen Kumar
I think this answers most of your questions: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Bitbucket-Pipelines-questions/Services-end-of-Support/qaq-p/1852862#M5819
Services and webhooks basically do the same thing (one reason we are getting rid of services).
It's hard to say what will break because it depends on what the service or webhook does. Ultimately what's going on is Bitbucket is making an HTTP request to a 3rd party whenever a repository changes (sending details about that change).
You'd have to look at what services you're using to know what will break. But generally what will happen is Bitbucket will stop making HTTP requests (for services) hence the 3rd party will no longer be notified of any changes.
The link up top describes a way you can see which of your repos is using services.
