Bountysource Add-on API?

I wonder if I can write a Bitbucket add-on that integrates Bountysource into the issue tracker, such as displaying the current amount of bounties for the issue. Is there an API for writing a Bitbucket add-on?

We just released Connect for Bitbucket, which allows users to write their own add ons - see https://blog.bitbucket.org/2015/06/10/atlassian-connect-for-bitbucket-a-new-way-to-extend-your-workflow-in-the-cloud/.

Thank you for answering my question. As Bountysource is not my service, I will try Connect for Bitbucket when I have time to experiment.
