How can I create a new bug status for Bitbucket Issue Tracker?

I want to create a new Bug status as "Deferred"? 

Please help.

Atlassian Team members are employees working across the company in a wide variety of roles.

You unfortunately can't create new statuses. You can, however, create versions, milestones and components in the issue settings. These will then show up as dropdowns on the issue page. Maybe one of these could fit your needs.
