Can you push commits altogether at the end of the day?

I'm used to developers pushing commits after they've made a change.
However, my current developer says he's going to push all of them together at the end of the day to save time.
He says that I will see the different commits separately, but the only difference is that he'll post them at the end of the day.
Is that okay or do you see any disavantage?

Hi @maicart , it is okay to push all commits at the end of the day, but there a two disadvantages;

1. If the machine crashes or is stolen before the end of the day, you lose  all the changes.
2. You'll not be able to monitor the developer's progress. It is possible for the developer to work on other side projects through out the day and only spend the last 2 hours to work on your project. The downside to this is the code quality will be low and there will be so many bugs.

I suspect the developer does not want to push his/her commits frequently because of the number 2 above.
