Hello, I'm trying to connect Stash with MySQL database on Amazon RDS, but every time i submit the form, i get this error:

Could not get JDBC Connection; nested exception is com.mysql.jdbc.exceptions.jdbc4.CommunicationsException: Communications link failure

Hi Jakub,

This error is a generic one but actually means what it says. It's a communication failure.

Are you able to ping and telnet the JDBC URL connection from the source server? Are you behind a proxy in your environment? I recommend to check these steps and check the connection again.

Is this just happening to stash or app as well?

Yes, I can connect to the database and other apps work with it. The problem is stash-only... This is the full error... http://pastebin.com/1A6A5EGW
