Enable merge only when specific Bamboo build passes

Pankaj Malhotra February 11, 2019

Is there a way I can configure my Pull Request to enable "merge" only when particular Bamboo build has passed?

Martyn,

I am using BitBucket Server version, unable to find "Required Builds" add-on as a merge check.

Can you guide me with correct link?

Thanks,

Pankaj

Here is what I can see on my instance, can you paste a screenshot of what you see? Screen Shot 2019-02-13 at 9.13.09 pm.png

Hi Pankaj,

it looks like this is some internal plugin that someone hacked together and isn't stable, reliable or available on marketplace.  Sorry about that :-(

There is a feature request for this on our public bug tracker that you can vote for: here: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/BSERV-4869

I think this is possible.

If you go to Repository Settings -> Merge Checks you can see a list of merge checks.

If it's not there already, add one called Required builds extended.

Then you can configure the specific build you want to pass before merge is enabled.

Keep in mind that other merge checks will also be applied and they all have to pass before merge will be enabled.

I hope that helps!
