How to do Git tag with Bamboo

I would like for bamboo to tag before it checkouts  is it possible?.
Is there any feature or Plugin available tagging in git ?

You can tag the code using the "script task" after you check out the code. This is enough in most cases.

If you would like to do it before checking out, you can try out the bitbucket REST APIs to tag the code.
