Hello,

how can I migrate  the repositories of our bitbucket onsite hosting to the cloud version of bitbucket? Including Repositories, Users and so on.
Is there any migration tool available?

Sincerely

Dirk

Hi Dirk! You can import the source code and history from Bitbucket Server to Cloud as explained at Importing code. Note that you'll need to import the repositories individually, it's not possible to do it in bulk. Metadata such as permissions, comments, pull requests etc. will not be migrated.

As per the users, every user will have to create their own account (or someone create the accounts for them) as user management in Bitbucket Cloud works differently, there's not a user base.

Let us know if you have any questions!

Best regards,

Ana

Hi @Dirk I just released my migration script which works on a Linux Bitbucket Server: https://github.com/swoodford/migrate_bitbucket_server_to_bitbucket_cloud It does not migrate users as @Ana Retamal answered above it works differently in cloud.
