How to stop passwords / credentials / keys from being pushed to Bitbucket cloud

hi ,   I believe pre-commit hooks are not present on the bitbucket cloud so how do I centrally stop passwords / credentials from being pushed to the Bitbucket cloud ?  I require this to be done centrally and not locally 

I believe pre-commit hooks are currently not supported on Bitbucket cloud but is there any other way of doing this in a centralized manner

use an env file and include it in your .ignore file. You can host your env someone somewhere else.
