We have several git repos in bitbucket (cloud) that have unmerged pull requests associated with them. We created these repos and PR's for a customer, and now wish to transfer ownership of them to the customer. Our customer has set up an Atlassian account, and uses bitbucket cloud for other projects.
Is there a way to transfer ownership of all these assets from one bitbucket user account to another? All of the repos are in the same bitbucket 'team', so ideally we would like to just transfer ownership of the team to another user.
Hi @Brian Westrich,
There are two ways I can think of.
a. The team you want to give away has user groups, at least one of them is a group with admin rights. You can add the user you want to take the team over to that group of admins. You won't be able to remove yourself from that group (Bitbucket doesn't allow to revoke your own access), but the user you've just added will be able to do that. When you're removed from all admin user groups of the team in question you won't have admin privileges anymore. Similar with read/write privileges.
b. You can transfer repositories to the other user one by one. Pull Requests will be transferred along too.
Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Daniil
