Hi @Superadmin and welcome to the community!

I believe the error you saw is most likely related to the RBI mandate; we often see that for recurring payments with Indian issued cards.

You can reach out to our Customer Advocate team, mention your location and the RBI mandate, and ask if they can generate a quote for you to pay so you can update the billing plan afterwards. You can create a ticket via this link:

You can update a workspace's billing plan from the link Change plan on this page:

where workspace-id in the URL replace with the ID for your workspace.

If you face any issues, our Customer Advocate team will help you.

Just a heads up, I removed the screenshot from your post to protect your privacy, as it was showing address details.

Kind regards,
Theodora

Hi @Superadmin welcome to Atlassian community.

I understand how it feels when trying to upgrade your plan and then run into a payment error. The "Unable to update payment" error is quite generic, but it typically points to an issue with the transaction itself.

The screenshot you provided shows the standard payment error message. This usually means your credit card company or bank declined the transaction, or there's a specific detail preventing it from going through.

Steps or workarounds:

  • Double-Check card details
  • Verify that your card has sufficient funds or an available credit limit to cover the charges.
  • Many banks automatically decline online or international transactions as a fraud prevention measure, especially if it's a new vendor for you.
  • Contact your bank or credit card company directly and let them know you are trying to make a legitimate online payment to "Atlassian" and ask them to approve the transaction.

If you've tried all the above steps, especially contacting your bank, and the issue still persists, then you will need to contact Atlassian's Billing Support team directly.
