In Bitbucket Cloud, how can I see the groups that a user is in?

I need to create users and model them after existing users.  How can I see the groups that a user belongs to?

Hello Darrell,

You are only allowed to see group membership of BitBucket users within BitBucket server, not BitBucket Cloud. You can however check your BitBucket groups and see who is a member of which group (You just can't do this from the member side as a BitBucket Cloud user can be a member of multiple groups outside of your instance).

If you did have access to the users account, from there you can check their profile. From within their Profile Navigate to Settings > Access Management - User groups. On the right side you should see all groups the user is a member of.

Alternatively, you can manage your BitBucket Cloud users and groups with Teams within BitBucket. Here are a few documents to cover setting up teams within BitBucket and adding groups to those teams.

Create and administer your team

Organize your team into user groups

Organize groups for your repositories

Grant repository access to users and groups
